Biggest success so far: "World of Beauty & Spa Autumn 2009" was overbooked!

Prague – Since a couple of years, the International Cosmetic Trade Show “World of Beauty & Spa” is setting new records, but this time (Sept. 18-19th, 2009; Fair Grounds of Vystaviste) the all-time-high was hit: Nearly 350 exhibitors representing about 500 trade marks caused a famous ‘sold out’ of all available space! ”Nothing left” has been already the organizers (Beauty Expo s.r.o.) message since weeks and so this was told also to those who applied shortly on the last day of construction. But the best-ever result was not only true speaking in terms of booths but in regarding the visits too. “Sorry, no more tickets available” was the reply at the cashiers desk on late Saturday, which proved the trade fair’s overwhelming participation again real - with this time more than 20.000 visitors.

"Our place to be"

… emerged as the general exhibitor’s opinion, for most of the companies booked the fair year-by-year and therefore have now significantly enlarged their presentations – as World of Beauty & Spa with it’s regular events in spring and autumn has turned into the leading trade fair for cosmetics, nail care and wellness in the Czech Republic. A very good quality of professional contacts in combination with the wide range of business opportunities given by the country’s capitol proves to be the main argument of Janssen’s general distributor Emil Christoph in favoring World of Beauty & Spa as the best platform. Helena Hlavsova, senior export manager of the national big brand Ryor agrees while having tested the manufacturer’s new line of natural cosmetic on World of Beauty & Spa Autumn 2009. The company has gained remarkable attention by expert speaker Tobias Peschel representing the German Association of Industry and Trade (BDIH) – he informed the auditorium about a new standard for sustainable products which faces widely international acceptance. So professional networking appears as one of the key success factors of World of Beauty & Spa.

Others are a daily useful side programm according to real professional needs and a clear structure of the exhibition itself, which contains the following main sectors: professional and bio-cosmetics, technical and other equipment, pedicure, manicure, nail design, nail art, hair and hair fashion, wellness and spa as well as assessories and direct sale. Most of the foreign suppliers have still found their domestic partners in the Czech Republic; here is an impression of important international brands and companies presenting on World of Beauty & Spa Autumn 2009: Alessandro, Arabesque-Malu Wilz, Artdeco, Beauty Servis, Bellazi, Bernard Cassiere Paris, BES, Catherine Nail, Coneta with Becker Manicure, Promed, Ruck and Straub, Dermalogica, Dr. Spiller, Enni-Nails, Ergoline, Etre Belle, For Life, Four Seasons, Framesi, France Laure, Fremach, GERnetic, Golden Rose, Hapro, Happy Nails, Heitland a Petre, Hevea with Gehwol and Gerlach Technik, Ionto-Comed, Janssen, Jenny Lane, Klapp, LCN, Lion, Luxura, Mary Kay, NSI, Odyssey Nail Systems, O.P.I., Payot, P.Jentschura, Revlon, Ryor, Selvert, Soltron Sothys Paris, Tasha, Tana, TIGI, Toni & Guy, Tuproma, Volmar, Wimpernwelle, Young Nails and Zepter.

Expert programm now on 3 hot spots…

The scene on the traditional main stage has been widened by the nail center and the „lounge“ – making sure not to drive away visitor’s interest from the fair. Important topics in the lounge dealed with massage-techniques, aromatherapy, anti-aging, the so called “Dermoparty” and last but not least wellness (i.e. meaning for tourism, wellness-center, sales, communication, team-managenent). As real highlights on the main stage turned again the big competitions like the Czech and International Championships in Nail Design, the Czech Championship in Make-up (“Parisian Cabaret”) as well as the 4th Podiatric Competition “Most beautiful feet.” Very good reputations gained further senior expert Pavel Bauer presenting the make-up trends of Estee Lauder, trendy make-ups for the coming winter season 09/10, ARTDECO’s trends autumn/winter 09/10 presented by the nation-wide known visagist Linda Wassermandlova, the artificial collection “Beautiful hands and feet” as well as the amazing hairdresser shows made by BES and Primavera Andorrana’s ‘hair collection.’ Not to forget the exclusive company’s contributions such as those of Mypo Trade (Tana, Karaja), Tasha und Dr. Spiller.

The unique success of World of Beauty & Spa becoming the No. 1  trade fair for cosmetics in the Czech Republic is connected to a tight network with national associations, institutions and the media. This covers partnerships with the Association of Cosmeticians Unie Kosmeticek, the Manufacturer’s Association PROKOS, the Czech Wellness Association, the Association of Employees in Regeneration as well as the Association of Aroma Therapists and The Czech Podiadric Society. In fields of media the organizers hold strong cooperations with a lot of the country’s most prominent titles like those for experts „Sport and Wellness“, „Hotel and Spa“ as well as published by NAVA: „Linda,“ „Kadernicka a Kosmeticka Praxe“ and „Profi Nehty.“ Further to mention are wide spread national publications such as “Beauty Salon“, „Body Art“, „Denik Pravo“, „Estetika“, „Fit pro zivot“, „Hair & Beauty“, „Moje Generace“, „Juicy“, „Look“, „Psychologie“ and „Studiozone.“ As broadcasting-partner appear the national Czech Broadcasting Service as well as the private radio stations of Expres 90.3 FM, Fajn radio, Kiss 98 FM, Radio Blanik and Radio City; special webservices for women, cosmetics and lifestyle are completing the long list of supporters.

Also important to inform about are the good-developed relations of World of Beauty & Spa to main international trade fair and media partner such as Beauty International (Düsseldorf), Vivaness, Haare (both Nuremberg), Interbeauty (Bratislava, SK), Salon Jesien (Warszaw), Kosmetik International (Gaggenau) and redspa media (Baden-Baden).-
